Davinci Resolve 15 Final crashes

PostThu Aug 30, 2018 2:33 pm

Hi There

Are some of you expierencing crashes when using the pEmitter with Point Cluster

I add a pEmitter, pTurbulence and a pRenderer and set the pEmitter to Point Cluster and it crashes hard!

Here too, in particular when there's also some 3D text.
Do you also get a "GPU memory full" first and then the program stalls?

Did you submit a crash diagnostic log Kurt?

No. I did not have a GPU memory full message. And yes I entered info and sent a log. On some crashes the error log Windows does not even show. Resolve just disapears - funny as it is still running, when I check the task manager.

I think it is related to particles as the comp was working fine before pEmitter, pTurbulence and pRenderer was added. When IT is not crashing, it does not behave correctly. Keyframes are ignored and strange images show up when played back. Loads og warnings in the console window.

What's your GPU (VRAM) and how much RAM do you have?

I'm relatively well equipped for most tasks in Resolve, but Fusion particles are no fun yet.

Hi,

Confirmed :

Here everything works well Pemitter + pTurbulence with Style Point but not with Style PointCluster
(with always run Fusion on CPU Only OFF in preference. With ON => same)

Hi everyone, I've found this strange behaviour on Resolve 15 Final: as u can see in the video linked above, if I disable a lower level clip, the upper one is affected. The clips opacity is 100% both. Any suggestion? Can we consider this like a sort of bug?
