Project Crashing Resolve 15

PostThu Sep 13, 2018 6:43 pm

Hello,

I recently upgraded to 15. I am a couple days into some syncing, logging and preliminary editing and experienced a crash while editing. Live save was enabled. When I went to reopen the project it crashes Resolve. I did not setup auto backup in 15 and had not created any .drp backups so I have no backup (i know, i know - it is my own fault) I have tried the following with the same crash result:

- exporting a .drp frokm the database window and reimporting
- archiving from the database window and recalling (with and without media)
- changing the name of the media folder (in case it was a corrupt media file)
- reinstalling latest version of resolve
- opening on another system without the media

I did pull the logs, the .drp, and a zip of the project folder from the disk database and sent them along to support. I thought to ask the question here to see if anyone might have a quick thing or two i could try.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Best,

- J

I sent the project files and logs into support and, sadly, it's unrecoverable. Thanks to the BMD support team for responding so quickly. You guys are stars!

I was not that deep in - learning the footage and the decision-making process is what took the longest to develop so I was up and running in a few hours on a rebuild of the project.

It learned me good. If you're upgrading, make sure you check your auto-backup settings!
