Fusion can't overwrite file when Resolve 15 is running

PostSat Sep 15, 2018 2:54 pm

Hi,

Not sure if this is Resolve 15 related issue or not, but after switching from macOS to Windows 10, I have been wondering why I can't overwrite mov clip which is in use on my Resolve 15 timeline.

Before Windows 10, in "macOS-land" I use to render clips from Fusion 9 to overwrite older version the file so it will be automatically updated inside Resolve 15 timeline.

On Windows 10, Fusion 9 can't overwrite existing file which is in use on timeline so it will popup render error. Because of that, I have to close Resolve 15 to set free that file and then startup Resolve 15 again.

Any idea if this is Resolve 15 issue or Windows 10 issue?

Best,
Juha
