I just recently started using DaVinci Resolve as my main NLE for our church. As church videos go, not a lot goes into editing but recently have been working on building up my knowledge of the program and started watching YouTube tutorials on Fusion. I have a decent computer for simple HD editing, but I run into a LOT of lag when it comes to Fusion comps with several layers of animation. Now I have a simple question and is it because of a bottleneck in my graphics card or something else such as RAM?
Without further ado here is my system:
CPU: Intel i9-7900X
MOBO: ASUS Prime X299-A
RAM: 64 GB of Generic Samsung DDR4 RAM
GFX: Geforce GTX 1060 6GB (This is what I think is the bottleneck)
Storage: Samsung 960 Pro 1TB + 3TB of 7200RPM Spinning disks
As our budget doesn't allow us to upgrade multiple parts at once, I was just looking for simple advice as to which upgrade would give me the most effective boost in performance (particular Fusion comps).
Thank you for your time.
