Sending to ProTools

PostFri Oct 05, 2018 10:43 pm

I'm wondering if someone out there can help me. I'm trying to export a trailer I made in Resolve. Instead of doing it in-house on Fairlight, we're sending it out to some friends who work in Pro-Tools. I tried the Pro-tools export, they said they weren't able to open the AAF and get the media imported. I've never worked in Pro-Tools before, but being an Avid program, I have no idea why the mxf files didn't import for some reason. Whatever, that's ok, we exported to .wav and rendered a new AAF, they said the same issue, it's not linking to any of the files.

Does anyone have a fool proof way to get a project from DR15 to ProTools?

I want to avoid and xml trip to premiere, just to create an embedded AAF or OMF as the sync'd audio files with the RED footage, are not coming across in the xml.

Open the aaf in Premiere, the same that doesnt work in pro tools, and export from there an aaf or omf for protools(try embedded or LinkedIn you never know with protools).
