Render Cache

I am using Resolve 15.1.1.005

I have played with the settings for Render Color Cache for hours, but it seems every time I open up this Resolve project some of the clips have to render cache again. Why? No changes to the video clips, nothing changed on the Color Page. So why any red lines??
Resolve Studio 18.1.3
macOS 13.3.1
16-core Mac Pro, 256GB RAM, Radeon Pro VII, 1TB SSD
8TB and 4TB OWC Accelsior 4M2 (PCIe) RAID 0
ext drives for backups/data

Are the cache files really there on the disk after the timeline has turned blue?
