Handles Options?

So I just went on a little short vacation with the wife and took my BMCC. Wanting to keep things as light as possible, I didn't bring along a tripod or monopod and figured I could just shoot handheld in the museums that we were visiting. (Used the Canon 17-55 F2.8 with IS so Handheld was workable)

Really my only problem was keeping a good grip on the camera. I always felt like it was about to slip out of my hands when I went to pull focus.

I decided to get some handles for my camera and was curious what options were out there and if anyone had tried them. I was looking at the Official BMCC handles, but $200 is borderline too much for what I'd get IMO. It seems like something like that should be $120-$130 max... but what do I know?

Any suggestions for other cheaper options?

There are many different types of camera handles, flash brackets, and such available, and they range in price from very inexpensive to very dear.

For example, this one is only $8.49 US (it can be attached via one of the 1/4-20 threaded holes on the top or bottom of the BMCC):

Just to give a warning, I actually have this same handle and although it can attach to the bottom or the top (preferred the top when I did play with it) the BMCC is much too heavy. I used this unti I received the Ikan Tri-Fly but only for tests.

Like a lot of things, camera grips, handles, rigs, etc. really come down to your personal preference. I suggest you search on sites such as B&H, Adorama, eBay, etc.
