AAF file from AVID Media Composer pulls in wrong clips

PostSun Oct 13, 2019 11:04 pm

I am importing an AAF file from AVID (Mac) into Resolve 15.3.1 (Mac) and it links some (7) wrong clips which have the same timecode into the timeline. XML files from Premiere work just fine. How can I avoid this. It seems the AAF import takes the first timecode of any clip it finds in the Media Pool.

The EDL does the same.

If I import the AAL with link to camera footage checked it pulls in all the correct clips.
If I do this and grade the clips the Render files with unique file names would not link to the AAF file generated as roundtrip from Resolve. Whether in AVID nor Premiere.

What am I missing?

Make sure the check: link to source camera files when importing the AAF.
