Export Still Frame From Edit/Media Pool Panes

PostWed Feb 05, 2020 8:33 pm

I have seen two other requests for simplified "Frame grab" functionality, and I'd like to add my support.
Still frames/(Grab Still) are useful for all kinds of purposes, not just grading. It would be very helpful to have a right-click (or icon) "Export Still Frame" option from the edit pane timeline, and/or from the media browser itself.

I second that. I think an option in the Gallery for "Still Includes Data Burn-In" would be useful.

This is a no-brainer, always useful, and, frankly, it's a bit shocking that it's never been implemented. The program viewer dropdown should include it.

Yes definite +1 from me.

IMHO this should be an option in every Viewer, providing the ability to quickly and easily save to disk whatever frame is currently showing.

+1, with an option to set default image format, plus a drop down to select additional formats in a save window.

+1 here for the right click export of a still (like the idea of being able to set a default but also option for other formats)

+1,000

I would gladly pay additional money beyond my studio licenses for this critical feature to become native within DaVinci Resolve.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add this.

This feature has finally been implemented in the 18.5 beta. They even allow us to assign a keyboard shortcut to it.
