Every time I try to import UHD XAVC-I files shot on the Sony PXW-FX9 Resolve Studio crashes almost instantly. At other times it crashes when I start to play back a FX9 clip.
I've tried Resolve Studio 15 thru to 16.1.
I am running Catalina 10.15.1 on a 2018 15" MBP. But I'm hearing from quite a lot of others having issues with the files from the FX9. XAVC from other cameras is fine, it appears to be something unique to the FX9 files.

Hi ULi, LOL you are so right... greetings from munich...
But the file format has not changed. It should be the very same XAVC as the FS7, F55 etc. In addition the FX9 clips are fine in every other NLE that I have tried including Premiere and FCP-X. It's only a Resolve issue.
The only difference I am aware of is that there is some extra metadata.
I got my FX9 today and I have the same problem, please fixed the problem. In 3 weeks we travel to Antarctica with the FX9 and i like to see the results on my laptop after shooting.
Same issue here. I might be the fact that the space required for metadata header now present in the XAVC files from the FX9 some how renders the file unreadable for resolve. has as anyone looked into that ?
Referring to the overall XAVC File Metadata Unit and the Edit unit with the underlying structure of

If you're having problems with this footage, please put a brief (maybe 5-second) clip on Dropbox or Google Drive or another filesharing site for others to try.
This is the added metadata structure in the sony FX9 XAVC-I files (Jpeg attached) The end line</NonRealTimeMeta> will be in the wrong position compared to the FS7 XAVC-I Files. Rewrapping in catalyst browse takes care of the issue for now, but it is a 911
