Cinema pocket - ipad tethering, remote, live view

PostFri Jul 12, 2013 2:50 pm

Is there any way to use an ipad with the blackmagic pocket cinema camera to get live view from camera to the bigger ipad screen (wireless or cabled)?
Many consumer level cameras from Nikon, Olympus and Canon have this feature and in addition you can remote control most camera functions including focus from the ipad touch screen interface.

None so far. Surprised no one has released a HDMI input device for iPads and iPhones. Surely there would be a market for people wanting to check GoPros especially, their app is a bit half arsed.

Surprised to hear this. I am assuming a lot of professional guys in this forum, how do you guys can focus on the right subject using a so small screen?
I am looking to BM pocket just for a hobby, but some tests i made with some dslr were 90% out of focus when using the small camera display.
Hope to get some way to live view to a bigger screen.

You can still use the HDMI out to do zebras, focus assist, etc, on a monitor or EVF designed for the task.

Professional guys use professional equipment, e.g. field monitors or electronic viewfinders.
