Had my first real / day long shoot with the BMCC

Sorry to start a new thread on this but I wanted to post about my first all day shoot with the Blackmagic. Overall, the experience was pretty good. This was also my first time working with real lights and a tech to place them, which was a must for the Blackmagic as you probably know.

I did run into a couple issues and wanted to know whether anyone else had experienced this-

At one point, I turned the camera back on and for a second or two, I noticed on the LCD, which was displaying just a black image during the boot process, that the top and bottom of the screen were separated almost exactly in half and the top half was darker than the bottom. It seemed like the same line that appears when you under expose. Once I got an image on screen, the LCD flickered for a couple minutes just like it does after a firmware update. I believe I'm running 1.3 or 1.3.1. Has anyone else experienced this? It doesn't appear that it was in any of the footage once loaded on my computer.

The other issue I experienced is on one occasion I saw white spots / pixels in one frame of a shot. I haven't graded it to see if it goes away but it was concerning. Again, has anyone seen this and/or should I be concerned?

Ill just can say that i havnt experienced any flaws in the picture so far.

I called BM and spoke with one of their reps. They strongly recommended updating the firmware, which I did. I'll report back if any of this persists.

Hi Dustin, finished yesterday a 7 day, 14 hour a day shoot with 2 BMCC. Not one issue with the cameras, dropped frames or any other malfunction. Using the latest firmware.

I was also very happy with battery life, starting the day with a fully charged IDX 7s and the camera battery, we were able to run for 11-12 hours.

Were you shooting Raw on the 240G? I ordered one. Already have a 480 and I just noticed the 240 is not listed in the FAQ, whereas, the 128 is only rec'd for compressed.
