Hi, I just upgraded my 16 Studio to 17 Studio Beta and have already encountered a problem. It seems that Resolve doesn't recognize any of my project videos in the media bins or timeline. All of my videos say "Media Offline." The audio from the clips show up but not the video itself. I've tried to relink the clips (the usual method) but nothing seems to be working. Does anyone have a clue as to what my problem may be? I would definitely appreciate the help! Thanks in advance!
Barry

I updated my databases but still have the same problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled three times now. I know my system is fine, it's capable of handling 8k video with no problem.
For some reason the audio portion of a clip will play fine in the media bin but there just isn't any video. I've even tried to start a brand new project but still have the same problem importing video files. I'm at a loss as to a reason. ------------------------------------------------------------ DaVinci Studio: Version 17.OB BUILD 6 Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit (Fully Updated) Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU& @ 3.60GHz (16 CPUs), ~3.6GHz Memory: 32768MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 12
I have updated my databases, drivers, and have reinstalled 17 a few times. It still has the same problem.
It is not only with my old files, it is also with any new. All of my current databases say "Status: Compatible." I can start a new project, import a video into the Media Pool and this is what I see...
This is trying to start a new project...

I imagine it is something simple that I am just not seeing. Studio 16 worked beautifully on my computer so I do not see why this wouldn't as well. I have things I need to do and edit so any help that anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.
I'm at a loss here. All of my databases are upgraded, Resolve Studio is upgraded and I still have the Media Offline problem. Even when I start a new project and try to import video files they all come up "Media Offline." The audio portion of a clip is there when scrolling across it but the video is not. Any ideas, please?
Hi Dwaine, I tried your solution but didn't have any luck, I'm afraid. I started a ticket on the Blackmagic site and sent all of the files you requested. I believe that the email will be going to Adam B if you'd like to connect with him and take a look at the files. I do appreciate all of your help with this and hope we can figure something out. I am really looking forward to using Studio 17.
I had the exact same problem. About half the media on a project received the " Media Offline" notice and I couldn't re-link any of it. Also, I couldn't load any media into a new project without getting the "Media Offline" notice.
My only solution was to return to version 16.7. Fortunately, I had backed up the old data base. I look forward to using all the new features of 17 but will wait until more of the issues are worked out.
I found that the problem is my Windows account name "Caleb Lau" has blank space. For it to work, the name must be quoted "Caleb Lau" for xcopy.exe to work. The installer needs to fix this. A temporary workaround is to remove the space in my Windows account name.
