I would have hoped they received this camera a month ago when they started selling cages

We are all going to be last to receive the camera.

At least it will feel that way, because after we get our camera we won't care about others still waiting ...

I ordered my camera at my local dealer in Kyoto once the photos of the banners at NAB were leaked on twitter, became first in queue and got an email saying the camera just arrived today. Happened that I just left the country for a 2 week trip this morning and got told they weren't going to keep it for me till I get back, only promising to give me priority in the next shipment which is still unknown :( Oh well.

Australian reseller Lemac got stock around the 8th of August

Rang around a few resellers today cause I was keen to see whats available Videoguys, Lemac, Johnbarry have all received some.

I guess we just need to wait our turn

I've had mine since Friday. Local dealer in Adelaide received two, and told me last night 10 were sent out Australia wide.

I think you are referring to new-media, from my understanding and research there has been 100s of orders made within Australia I'm guessing 300 to 400 (rough guess, maybe more) lets just assume 100 for the sake of the argument, Now 10 to be sent Australia wide its absolutely ludicrous. not to mention with a month delay.
with this rate Panasonic and Sony would ramp up their products and give out a new camera with pro res and maybe raw functionality.

I would not want to assume anything dude, but simple logic says more than "10" have shipped in Australia, I have spoken to most of the Australian stores listed on the BMD website and most have had stock already. I have ordered 2 units from 2 different resellers, the sales dudes at both shops think it will be a few weeks before I see my order - I should have preordered sooner - my bad.. Ill just wait some more and master using resolve lite until the first one arrives.

I would love to know how you come up with your numbers, none of the sales peoples I spoke with would tell me anything about how many they have on order or how many they received.

Well DUDe, i guess people are as intelligent as what they say, your comments prove my point. you want to be a suck up to BMD be it. the facts are clear blackmagic has failed epicly again to satisfy customers albeit with a product that has promising features and everyone is complaining about its delivery. i have cancelled 2 of my orders as there are no indication that when the cameras would be delivered. ( I ordered in late June). the more people longer for this product, the more time they waste, In my opinion people should just assume that there is no Blackmagic pocket cinema camera and make do with whats in the market. when BMD gets their game straight and stick to their promise people can support them. BMD you just lost a customer, not that you care but....

Wow people on this BMD forum are so hostile, I meant no offence.. I am happy to wait, I am sorry you cannot. I have no reason to “Suck up” to BMD, just using logic based on my findings speaking to the stores.

Sales guy at my local dealer told me they received 2 - I have no reason to question this, especially considering how excited they were to see one personally when I was in there on Monday. They told me 10 were sent out nationally by the distributor, and I have no reason to question that. You can quote 'simple logic', but when people are still screaming online about not receiving their cameras, I can believe that. 'Simple logic' would also dictate some better communication along the way, but we missed out on that too...

I do not doubt you Ryan or the dealer, but you are assuming that all stores received 2 units, there might be a percentage each store received based on store size, order size or order timing? We do not know..

I do know last week I spoke on the telephone (voice call) to more than 5 Australian stores that all indicated they have had a small shipment (more than 5 stores would mean more than 10 units if you use the 2 per store assumption), its all assumption. The distributor would not give me numbers

I 100% agree communication has been poor, improvement needed
