I was attempting to record a v/o track for a video that I am producing and the audio is distorted. The monitor audio sounds fine and the mic sounds great in GarageBand. But then I play the sample back it sounds as if I am clipping the audio. The levels look good, the behavior is the same even with the built in Mic on the MBP. Thoughts?
I have exactly the same issues. Any voice over recorded on my M1 MacBook Pro sounds distorted as if it is clipping. I tried internal and external microphones and even different audio interfaces. I tried every settings I could find but nothing helped. All microphones work perfectly fine in any other program.
Yes having the same issue on my 13" M1. Voice memo is super crisp but Resolve is distorted.
Using a Zoom H4 usb interface. Never had issues before the beta so I'm sure it's just a matter of code. Would definitely need this fixed in fairlight for ADR.
Just searched for this issue and found this thread. Using a USB sound board with MXL mic. Voice over is unusable. Guess we must wait for an update to the M1 beta. Bummer. This will make my current project more difficult; however, it is beta software at this point.
