permanent folder problems after importing/merging db from pc

Hi,
resolve keeps assuming the wrong user after i imported files from another database and everytime i start a new project it warns me to change gallery cache stills location... I even manually added these locations because apart from the project settings i cannot seem to change the default location where resolve creates this... please fix this behavior to be more intelligent and automatically see what other user has these folder structures already in c/users.... How can I change the default because i dont want to do this every project?

That is how you change the default location. There is no 'apart from that'. That's the way.

but i changed it and still does it...

Make sure the location you want is the first one listed under Preferences>System>Media Storage.

Yes the right one is selected.
Meanwhile when I change the project settings, each time i reopen resolve they revert to the old broken folders...

That's not normal.

You're have never used, and are not now using, any removable or network drives for this?

nope... issue comes again every new project

bump... i reached out to support via email but no response... this is really annoying and gallery stillls images don't export because of this!!

Here you go. ak-man was the username in my laptop, John on my pc. It keeps reverting to these folder settings with each new project I even made the same user on this computer to avoid this problem, but it still keeps bitching while the folder exists on my computer...

And which should it be, John or ak-man? (Pick one, let's eliminate some variables for now.)

It should stay on John. And that screen is also c users john videos with direct io, automatically display attached locations.
