Working with 17.1 Studio beta version 4 on a Mac mini M1. In Fairlight (and preferences) I do not see any VST-plugins. I installed those correctly, they are shown in Library->Audio->Plug-ins->VST. Are VST's supported?

Hello. I’m using DaVinci on several computers, Mac and PC. My audio plugins are from Waves, Isotope, etc., and I’ld like to use VST versions to retain cross platform compatibility.
On my MacBook Pro, I normally use my App Store version of DVR Studio, but I just installed v. DR beta 17.1 on my new M1. This is the regular version, not the studio version. It’s buttery smooth(!), but the VST plugins for my imported projects aren’t loading. The plugins originally appeared in the Fairlight console, but did not open when I clicked on them and did not function. The VST plugins also appeared to have been loaded in the preferences menu, but I can’t add them in Fairlight, even though they’re in the menus as options for insert effects. I select them and nothing happens.
I tried removing the VST folder and re-adding it, with no results. DaVinci doesn’t appear to be re-scanning the added folder for compatible plugins.
The AU versions appear, load, and function fine, but I don't want to use them because I'll lose cross-platform compatibility when I'm editing with my team via the project server on our NAS.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to force a re-scan of the VST plugins?
