Picture Styles for the BMCC?

PostTue Aug 20, 2013 2:55 am

Hi,
I have yet to purchase a BMCC, but i've used one a couple times. For production, its fantastic. The film mode is great for post and color correction and all that, but is there a way to get a picture style or something where it will boost the colors and contrast in camera? I need a camera that can both stream live video as well as a camera that is great for production and shoots. The latter is a given, but the former, im not too sure about. From what i've heard, the SDI out would produce a flat image, is there any way I could make that image vibrant and colorful? I'd love to get this camera, but I do not want to stream a boring, flat image.

Thanks in advance!

The BMCC also has a video log that you can change in the menu. It should give you a colorful image compared to the flat-looking film log.

I think you could also connect Blackmagic's HDlink, it allows you to apply a LUT. Which could give you the best result.
