Manual Lenses on BMCC EF

PostTue Aug 20, 2013 4:29 am

Hello,

I'm trying to make sure that I can use manual lenses on the BMCC EF before I order it. Can anyone chime in on this please?

Thanks

I'm using Contax Zeiss glass with an EF model. No issues. Typically you would only have trouble with electronic lenses not communicating properly with the camera.

You should be able to automatically use any manual lens that has a greater flange distance than EF on the BMCC. FD lenses would require a simple adapter such as http://fdtoef.com. However there are some great manual lenses for EF, my favorite are Rokinon's Cine lenses.
