I have a Sony Dev-5 which creates stereoscopic video coding in a MP4 (264) container. Yet when I bring the video into Resolve, it does not allow me to use the 3D tools...why?
I don’t know for sure, so you may ignore this if you want, but I think the 3D tools are meant to be used with separate L and R video files. Have you checked the manual yet?
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700, 3.40GHz, 32.0 GB MB: MSI, BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. A.60, 12/17/2015 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, 2Gb Resolve 19.1.3(Free)
The 3D only works with L/R channels as mentioned. I was hoping for single file operations. Sony has really crappy software to split the channels which prevents me from accessing all of the files I have with ease. I now take the left channel with software from PegaSys which can work in batch mode. Now I just have multiple files laying around...but I dare not delete the originals.
