Cut page Scrolling

PostWed Mar 10, 2021 2:22 pm

Hi, I'm using the latest 17 beta version. Horizontal Scrolling in the cut page doesn't work, unless i hold the ctrl key. Could anyone help me out?

That's normal.

It wasn't like this in Resolve 16... it would just scroll horizontally which mouse wheel scroll.
Is there a way to change it?

My understanding of the Cut page is that the timeline summary always shows the full extent of the timeline and the timeline detail always shows a zoomed-in portion of the timeline close to the playhead, with the playhead itself fixed in the middle. You can the timeline, but the timeline itself and the clips on it move behind the fixed playhead rather than the reverse. That's the way it worked for me in Resolve 16.7 and the way it still works in 17.

The Edit page has the traditional timeline where the timeline and clips remain fixed and the playhead moves left and right.

I'm not aware of any.

Might be a change related to the new Speed Editor hardware.

As an alternative to the mouse wheel, you can just click and hold down the mouse button on the timecode rulers to scroll.
