Color selection tool not working

Hello. I have drop on the timeline the "Drop In" Title. If I select the color picker next to the color box in the title control window and drag it anywhere in the windows, nothing happens, it's not picking up colours.

I can confirm this (Resolve Studio 17 beta 4).

Same here in Studio 17b4 for Windows. I can change colors with the box, but not the picker.

Not working for me either. Windows 10 user. Resolve 17.1. 720p project

Steps:
I added a Text+ track, Inspector - set a timecode, and tried to pick a color to match a contrasting feature in the background (next track down).

Expected Result:
Click the eyedropper, go to pixel, click again
OR
hold the left click, drag the eyedropper to the desired pixel, release
..then I expect the color to be set to the pixel that was under the tip of the eyedropper.

Actual Result
If I click on the eyedropper next to the Color and white rectangle, it does nothing. If I click and drag, the cursor changes to the eyedropper. I try to release the click over the intended color, but no reaction. Tried right-clicking, shift-clicking, alt-clicking - nothing.

Workaround
So I took a screenshot, opened PaintdotNet, and used the colour picker there (which works). Heck of a painful workaround, I'd like to know how I'm using this tool wrong, or at least if it's a known bug.

Yep, I have this in one or two places as well.

On the Mac, if I click the color tile and then go to the Apple color picker, it has a eyedropper that works to select the color. Then click OKAY in the Apple Color picker to finish selecting. (The nice thing is you can also drag the selection to the right in the Apple Color picker to save it for future reuse.)

But definitely a bug. There's one other place where clicking and holding on the eyedropper works (I think in a chroma keyer) but not here, as you noted.

Same steps, didn't work in 16.0 or 16.2 either. I thought I was just using it wrong, perhaps I still am.

There is sort of a workaround if you select the color box then choose "Pick Screen Color".

I am still experiencing this as well. Also in Text + the color picked is not properly reflected in the text

I am still getting this with 17.4.2 on Windows. I didn't notice the Windows function to pick a screen color - glad someone pointed that out.

Chiming in to say this is still an issue. Using the system color picker leads to completely off colors as well, and adjusting is a hunt and peck affair.

I figured out that I can, as a work around, click the color box (to the left of the eyedropper) and in the box, use the "Pick Screen Color" button to do the thing.

It's grayed out. If you select it, you see it """works""" but when you bring it somewhere where you want to pick any color up: it doesn't work at all.

Yeah, that doesn't happen for me. The mouse icon doesn't change. The eyedropper is fully non-functional.

Four years later... still not working on Windows (latest 19 build)

Using the provided "Fusion Title - Simple Box 2 Lines Lower Third"
The eye dropper is there but light grey.... dragging it tho does change the mouse icon to the eyedropper but when I move it to a color on the screen, nothing changes

Can anyone advise on that? Why isn't the color picker working in the Inspector tab? DVR 19.1.4

Lots of pickers not working for me, not even the recommended workaround. Using "pick color from screen" causes the color tool to jump around to various on-screen colors. The dropper (as mentioned above) is greyed out, and I have no way of knowing why. I haven't done anything to cause it to not work.

I also couldn't use the 3D Keyer's stroke picker. I feel like that might be related, and it's frustrating because this makes that tool unusable.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong.
