Clicks in voiceover audio recorded in Resolve 16

PostMon Mar 15, 2021 8:02 pm

I am trying to record a simple voiceover audio track in a DaVinci Resolve 16 project I am working on. Every audio clip recorded in Resolve ends up having several audible clicks throughout.

I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 audio interface, which is set to convert audio at the 48kHz sampling rate to match the unadjustable sampling rate of DaVinci Resolve.

I have tried recording audio in Audacity using exactly the same setup, and audio records fine with no clicks at all. So the issue is definitely within Resolve rather than any of the hardware.

I have followed an online tutorial for recording voiceover audio and patching the inputs etc and am fairly certain I am doing everything right here. But I just cannot stop Resolve from ruining recorded audio with clicks. The clicks are in the recorded audio, as on playback the clicks are in the same place.

Existing audio tracks in the Resolve project (both from imported MP3s and audio from recorded video footage) all play back fine with no clicks. Only recorded audio is suffering from the clicks.

Please help!
