Crossfades on multiple clips in Fairlight

PostTue Mar 16, 2021 3:50 pm

Hey there,

I have a quick question regarding Fairlight, sorry if this has been asked before.

Is there a way to crossfade between adjacent clips on multiple tracks at once with a set duration? Similar to how DAWs like Cubase work. Right now, I have to make a selection for each edit by hand and need to repeat that for every track. I'm editing the sound of an interview recorde with multiple mics and it's really time consuming to do every single edit by hand!

I've asked google and searched the manual, but the only thing I could find was doing it manually in a few different ways. Attached is a screenshot, I basically want auto-crossfades between all the clips, only a few frames long!

Thanks for helping :)

Cheers,
Tobias

You can do this on the Edit just by selecting all the clips and hitting the Audio Transition shortcut.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
