I have 2 cameras a BMCC2.5k and a Cannon 60d. I shot an interview with both cameras and was able to use the footage for a resulting video. I am Using a WIN 10/64 PC with 17.10 Studio(dongle licensed).
64 Gb RAM oodles of Hard drives ... SSD & Platters 8GB AMD video card.
1) Under 16.xx I was using Multicam and then was told about Sync Bin (what a great improvement!). So today I was "fooling around" trying to re edit the interview and try stuff on footage that I had. I had solved my First problem (thank you kind members) of selecting the BM footage as a film strip (It is RAW).
Under 16 I could select all the clips and create a sync bin editing to go from there - selecting the camera to display on the timeline. This time I could not select the BM footage all the cannon footage was there but NO BM.. (which in this case was the master)... If this a RFM please point out where & I'll gladly work it out myself from there.
2) Under 16,xx I could replace the audio on the tracks by a separately (and better recorded) audio track. It worked slickly (better than Plural Eyes under PP). Now there does not appear to be the option to do this. Again if RFM kindly indicate where.
3) I have been placing my media into the media bin & applying the Inbuilt LUT to the BM footage (709 v2). However in 17.10 the selection of the LUT is really "skittish" drag down and the selection & whole menu will disappear very quickly without selection... Any Ideas to slow this down? (again if in the menu pages would help
Bonus question .. MY workflow up till now has been import media Apply LUT to BM RAW, Replace Audio on all clips with separately recorded sound (just started to use Sync Bin) edit scenes ... Is there a BETTER workflow?
