All video files loading with audio only, won't play

Hello,

Up until recently, I had a fantastic experience with Davinci Resolve, but when I started it up yesterday I found that all videos I was importing only had audio and I couldn't play the files. I went back to previous projects and found the same issue.

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU: AMD Ryzen
Motherboard: B450 Tomahawk Max
Graphics: 8GB RX590
Audio: Realtek High def

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the display drivers, made sure windows was up to date, and run the audio, chipset, LAN, and VGA installers from MSI. I also rolled back Davinci to 17.0 from 17.1 and nothing changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you are testing with the same clips hat dis wrk, its likely an OS update messed up your GPU drivers.

Which specific one is installed?

I have the Radeon 21.2.3 drivers installed, and yes I think it's an OS update that screwed me up. Unfortunately, I didn't have an OS backup setup, so I can't rollback.

I had a copy of Lightworks installed and it can open and manipulate clips without issue, so that leads me to believe it might be a setting within DaVinci Resolve?

Upgraded my GPU driver to the latest, Radeon 21.3.1. Still no change.

I actually solved the issue by going back to 16.2.8. Lost my database, but imported videos work correctly. Guess I'll have to wait for a patch before trying 17 again.

Can confirm Audio only loading on Linux with DVR 17.1
Running under Manjaro XFCE with nvidia quadro K420 and AMD RX580
System seems to avoid POST or boot without the K420 card installed, that one is staying installed, sadly.
The failing clips were recorded on a Canon 60d @30 fps 1080p
Open Source H264/AVC video encoder x264 3:0.160.r3011.cde9a93-1 is listed as installed in the Manjaro Package Manager.
