I used to be able to start and use Davinci Resolve on my PC, and now for some reason I can't get past the splash screen on start-up. After saying "Loading Waveform Monitor" the panel disappears and nothing happens. No error is thrown, and Resolve does not load.
I have tried the following trouble-shooting steps, to no avail:
1) Rebooting
2) Upgrading from 16 to 17 (with first uninstalling 16)
3) Deleting the folder in AppData\Roaming
4) Uninstalling all plugins
5) Disabling my VPN and Windows Firewall as suggested by one website. Also I have no antivirus software other than Windows Defender
6) Updating my Nvidia driver
7) Activating Windows Compatibility Mode for Resolve
As I said, Resolve used to work, I dont now what changed. My system configuration is:
Windows 10 Pro 64bit (Version 2004), Intel i5 7600K, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1070 GPU
In Windows Event Monitor, the following Error occurs around the same time as I try to start Resolve:
No idea if that has anything to do with it. Windows Reliability Monitor has no information whatsoever.
In the Resolve log, the following stands out:
...
whole bunch of Fairlight warnings
...
and that's the end.
This is really frustrating. I hope someone can help me!
