Inspector's Effects Grayed out.

PostMon Mar 22, 2021 12:32 pm

Hi.
Just did an update to Res17 and the "Effects Transition and image" are all grayed out.
Tried different clips.
Time line isn't locked.
Not sure what is up as I never had this problem with Res16.

I run win 10 i7-6700 3.40GHz 16RAM and a 1080gtx

Thanks.

Can you clarify?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Thanks for your reply.
I am not sure how.
In the inspector section (Top right in edit page) "Effects. Transition, and image" are all grayed out. Meaning I can't use them.
Clip is selected. So, that is not the problem.
I tried different clips with different formats to no avail. So, that is not the problem.

Only the tabs that apply will be 'active'.

If you have no effects on a clip, the Effects tab won't be available.

The Image tab is for adjusting the settings of RAW media, so if your clip isn't RAW...

Follow?

Thanks for your time and your answer.
I knew that and forgot to specify it.
I was also having animated templates problem and playback problems so, I just rolled back to 16 as it is a well oiled finish product. I'll come back to 17 in a year when all the bugs are worked out.
I want to use the software and not be a beta tester.
