Pocket does not turn on...

PostMon Aug 26, 2013 8:32 pm

Hi, just got my Pocket, pressed the power button and the screen flickers but the camera does not turn on...

Plugged in the power cable to the camera, still the same issue.

No lens attached.

Help?

OK

Never mind, just tap the power button not hold, = S

Working now = )

This isn't a helpline. maybe you should contact BM....

You should of at least try charging the battery before you start bothering people. I expect a 'ok I solved it post within the next few hours.

Glad it was resolved so quickly.

You can bet though that the next time someone lists all the hardware reliability "problems", this gets marked down as one of them :-p

No worries, it's just a weird quirk.

Usually you press and hold a tad to turn on equipment, this one was just a tap... Threw me off for a sec
that combined with the screen fickler made me think there was something wrong.

Hopefully if someone else runs into this can come here and see this.

In lieu of a sarcasm button, you could post a lot less.

Thank you for the advise! I believe i'd fall into that trap as well.

And i also believe that that is exactly what this forum is meant for: users helping other users to avoid or resolve problems.
