Fusion-heavy renders hang on pc, do fine on Macbook

PostWed Mar 24, 2021 1:58 pm

Hey folks,

Maybe someone can help me troubleshoot this one. I have a pc that is relatively okay spec-wise for Resolve, aka a 3070 and 3800XT processor, together with a 970 EVO Plus ssd. However I've had multiple times happen that on fusion-heavy renders I get weird framedrops, freezes and crashes during rendering. Playback is also kinda bad (dropping to 1 frame on a 1080 timeline).

On an M1 Macbook Pro, however, rendering is much slower (2 times slower), but there's no dropped frames, there's no crashes, and so on. Can anyone maybe help me troubleshoot this? I have no idea where to begin. Thanks in advance, folks!
