Hey,
this is more so a question for the BM Tech support however if anyone else has a solution or similar issues, please comment!
I'm using Resolve 17.1 on an iMac Pro 3GHz 10core Intel Xeon W, 32GB RAM, Radeon Pro Vega 64 16GB.
I'm working with self build and/or 3rd party transitions and effect macros.
Render Cache is set to User.
When applying the effect, everything goes normal. The red bar shows up and it automatically renders.
As soon as I change any values in the inspector, the render bar stays red and nothing happens.
I deleted the render Cache, switched Render Cache mode back and forth, and nothing happens. The only way I can get the effect to render is by restarting Resolve.
The worst of it all is that the computer immediately starts to choke and I'm unable to play back anything. This will not resolve automatically so I'm forced to restart resolve. This happens even if the effect/transition is deleted.
When going into my settings and change the render location from my external SSD to my internal SSD (Desktop) and hit Save, Resolve will stop responding. Spinning Wheel shows up, I let it work for over 30min, and it's still not responding.
I added the diagnostic report however, I created it after restarting Resolve so not sure if it includes all those described steps. I can't create it after reproducing the problem since Resolve won't respond anymore.
