Creating 4K H.265 Proxies cause instant crash

PostSun Mar 28, 2021 8:55 pm

Resolve instantly crashes when I try to create a proxy file of a 4K H.265 60fps file.

If this was a restriction for the non-studio version I would expect a notification, but a crash seems dramatic. Must be a bug.

It might be your OS or hardware.

When I create proxies with h264 it creates the files but it’s unable to link the proxies. Already tested with at least another 3 M1 Macs.

Can you share a file for testing Brandon?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
