No Sound on projects after rendering

1st post, I am quite new to video editing but have been doing audio editing for decades!!

Good morning

Using a 27inch Mac with 32 Gig Ram Davinci Resolve Studio 17.1

Basically, I edit a video and import a sound track and it all works great.
I export/render the video and have got great results, but may want to make a slight change
So i go back to Resolve, open the project.......and there is No Sound.

It keeps happening, on at least 3 projects that I have done, I have't got the volume muted!!!

any ideas please??

Check ur Resolve Preferences, system, video and audio I/o, speaker config.

Ive looked into it more in the last few hours, very strange.

So if I import audio tracks into a project and save and close down, when I reopen the sound doesn't work.
If i then import another audio track into the media pool and insert it, then the new track works and the original doesn't.
If i save and reload again. neither of the tracks will be heard.
looking at the meters, only a newly added track is going through Bus 1

i am going out of the mac headphone socket into an m audio speaker system

So the issue is not rendering, its actually not saving the audio you place on the timeline?

Please provide more details as this is a bit confusing.
maybe a 1 clip example drp too

thanks, I solved the problem.
In preferences I didn't have the storage media directories checked, all ok now
