Greetings, this morning my computer had installed a Windows Update and now Resolve won't start properly.
The initial error this morning was:
The GPU failed to perform image processing because of an error
Error Code: 304
Actions
• Let Windows Update do another 3 or so cycles of updates with reboots, including "optional" driver updates.
o The Project Manager would then open but trying to open any project or create a new project resulted in a window with a title bar containing a black screen.
• Changed the GPU Configuration back and forth between Auto, CUDA, OpenCL with no effect.
• Reinstalled NVIDIA Driver 461.92 after the windows updates, rebooted, no effect...
• Uninstalled DaVinci. Installed DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.1. Error is now back to the original this morning. The Project Manager would not display and I got this error:
The GPU failed to perform image processing because of an error
Error Code: 304
DaVinci will start properly if I unplug the dock. The dock has an external monitor plugged in, among other things. I verified the DisplayLink Adapter was not installed by the update since that caused issues on my system previously.
Background
DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.1 Build 24 (running fine since release date)
NVIDIA Driver 461.92 (running fine for a week or so)
Windows 10 Pro, 20H2, 19042.870 (not sure what the version was before today)
CaptureLogs
Captured while error was on screen, so it contains the full copy of C:\Users\Steve\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\logs\ResolveDebug.txt
