Synced audio in media pool cannot be copied to other project

PostTue Mar 30, 2021 10:33 am

Having a project with a number of episodes I'm doing the dailies in a master project where I sync audios then copy them in the desired episode, the problem is some of the clips when they copied to the episode project the audio doesn't come with it as it only shows empty audio and camera. When I try to search for the audio in the media pool for that clip it directs me to the clip which I'm assuming that the audio can't be transferred due to the audio name is the same as the clip so somehow can't be copied?

A workaround is that trying to align the clips based on the waveform in the edit page so that the audio doesn't change it's name and can be copied, but that would be tedious to just redo the work again. Is there a way to transfer a clip synced in a media pool from a timeline to another without the audio changes its name or link itself to the audio?

I will upload some pictures regarding the audio links themselves and change their name in the metadata and Info of my computer.

I don't do that kind of work, so...this question comes from an outside perspective.

Would it not make more sense to skip the Master project and do the prep work in an Episode project?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

thank you for your reply, that footage is still updating like daily and the scenes are not organized by episodes so that assisting is handling rough cutting and syncing then copying the clips to their desired episode.
