Resolve 17 is breaking my heart stop crashing

Up until November 2020 I loved DaVinci Resolve....
And then I bought an RTX 3070 graphics card and it all went to Rat Sh!t.

I had so many problems with this new graphics card and the Resolve 17 Beta that I had to revert back to older graphics drivers and keep using Resolve 16.

And then when Resolve 17 came out of Beta, I waited a month to try again.

I am still having a nightmare of a time.

I have stopped recording H.265 footage on my GH5 and then editing and rendering this H.265 footage in Resolve.
I now use 10bit all-intra footage, which really speeds up the editing. However I am still having a nightmare rendering simple projects which keep failing at the render.

I either have outright crashes, where resolve wants to report back to the Mother-ship, or the renders fail.

I have learned by trial and error that the majority of my fails happen when I use Noise reduction. Turn off Noise reduction and I get a better chance at a successful render to MP4 h.265.

I am going to have to revert back to Resolve 16 and an older graphics Driver which IS NOT a Studio Driver.

I think u need to be on a much newer studio driver for that card.
Try that then post ur logs and NFO as per the FAQs

I have a 5900x and 3070 and my issue is that resolve will freeze for a second or 2 at times. It happens about 5 times a minute and makes it annoying to try to work in the program.

There are millions on users on v17 so its likely a config issue

We need both the Resolve log and the .NFO file:


In a File Explorer window, go to:

C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve

and run CaptureLogs

This will place a Resolve log file named similar to this on your Windows desktop: DaVinci-Resolve-logs-20181228_140434.zip (You may not see the .zip extension if your system is set to hide known extensions).

Then open Windows System Information and do a File - Save (Not a File Export), which will generate a .NFO file.

Place both those files on a file sharing site and provide links to the files here.

So I have found maybe what the issue is.
I disabled the "AUTO GPU processing mode"

And just selected openCL.

I am using a RTX 3070 and the lag happens when it uses CUDA and not openCL.
