60 fps vs. 50 fps (choppy)

PostFri Apr 02, 2021 4:59 pm

Hey there,
just finished my project, delivered it in 50 fps, and realized it is choppy as it would have a framerate around 25-30fps. Is there a bug, or smtgh I forgot to set up? Rendered still pictures with dynamic-zoom, so it is not about the original framerate of the source file.
For debugging I made a 60fps version, which is smooth as expected, but normally the difference between 50-60 fps should not be noticeable like that. Changing project settings to 60 fps is no option this time, as the uncut video contains a lot of gopro video footage shot in 50fps.

Uhm.. No? The two files you uploaded are perfectly smooth in both frame rates.
However Google has re-encoded them (it's missing the Writing application: Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Studio tag), so it's impossible to say for sure what problem you are describing with the files.

To give us the exact same files as you create, put them in a compressed file(zip), then share :)

If the monitor you use for viewing them is not capable of 50 fps they can look choppy.
Many computer screens expect 30 fps or a multitude of that.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

yeah, first I thought the same, but all my media shot on gopro and drone are in 50fps, and play smooth on the same computer
