resolve 17.1.1 delete all my old project backups?

PostFri Apr 02, 2021 6:11 pm

So I just installed the latest 17.1.1 today and all of a sudden my project backups for each of my projects seem to be only like one day old or the very last backup. Before this upgrade if I needed to go back to a previous revision there seemed to be a wealth of different save dates I could go back to. This is terribly horrifying for me as I will often make many revisions that often get referenced much later. What the heck? did this new install literally go thru and delete all of my older automatic backups?!

Possibly. Check your backup Preferences.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Daily backup set to 2..... which would mean it would save only the past two days that the project was being worked on. But it never used to behave like that in the previous versions so I never had to think about that parameter - it seemed to save days and days worth in previous versions.....
And if it's behaving "correctly" in this newest version, it would have been nice to have a heads up from BM that this version finally enabled that rule.

It could have been a localized glitch that it wasn't working before. You didn't mind, so never investigated.
