write permissions crashing

So, I tried installing DR on my old desktop (12 years old?) and when I try starting a project it says:

davinic resolve does not have write permission for the selected cache path. I click OK and this same screen pops up 2 other times. Then it looks like it is going into a new project but crashes and never gives me access to DR.

I have windows 10 pro, intel core i7 CPU 920@2.67ghZ with 6 gb of RAM.

You installed to the default location on C?

Documents hasn't been moved from its default location on C?

You're using an Admin account?

I know the documents haven't been moved.
I think it went to C:, I didn't check when it was installing.

I did try it with a using an administrator account and without and the result was the same.

I'm going to uninstall and reinstall and see what happens.

Make sure you do all things Resolve using an Admin user account, including the install.
