Resolve Studio 17.1.1 Build 9 w/Audient iD drivers / Windows

PostSat Apr 10, 2021 2:45 am

I've been having the dreaded issue with Resolve Studio not launching after looking for a control surface, and also some other strange behavior including the following:

- audio doesn't playback until reboot
- exports have audio out of sync
- exports freeze in the middle (stuck at some %--requires quitting the app altogether)
- playback is not smooth even when optimized media is generated, and all caches are rendered

Reinstalling doesn't solve the problem.

Out of desperation, I started unplugging USB devices. When I unplugged my Audient iD22 audio interface, Resolve Studio booted up with no problems. Timeline playback is smooth, and exports work again.

Are others with Audient USB devices having similar issues? I'm running USB driver 4.2.0 on Windows.

I recommend using traditional audio connections rather than USB. They're better quality/more stable.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
