Resolve free to Studio version

PostSat Apr 10, 2021 7:49 am

I have hunted through the main website to see if "free" Resolve converts to paid Resolve Studio if a licence key is paid for and granted. Or does one have to uninstall the free version then download a new complete version and use the key during the install? Any advice is appreciated.

Just download the studio version and install. It will replace the free version.

Free and Studio are two separate programs. You cannot convert Free into Studio, it will require a new install.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Partly true. It's a separate program, which needs to be installed, but as mentioned above, that "new install" is smart enough to overwrite Free.
