Automated Project Server Backups?

We use a Mac Mini M1 as a project server. From reading around the forum I've gathered that simply turning on Time Machine is not sufficient for backing up the Resolve database. What I've seen suggested is manually creating a backup by exporting the database from within Project Server. But surely there must be a way to do this automatically on a schedule? What's the best practice here?
