Sound disappering when shift-scrolling

PostSun Apr 11, 2021 10:25 am

I have found a very strange problem in DR 17.1.1. When ever I scrub my timeline using the fast jump (shift + left arrow) the voice sound will disappear.

My video format is h.264 and my audio format is three tracks with 24 bit PCM sound. First audio track is computer sound, second is clean (un-edited) voice and third is pre-edited voice. Whenever I scroll the timeline using shift + left arrow, my voice audio (track 2) will disappear. Track 1 is untouched and if I have music on track 4, that will remain as well. My video/audio is in an Quicktime mov container.

I have checked the bus settings and besides these are legacy because it is an old project I am working on, nothing has changed there. I can sometimes get the audio back by changing the device in the settings.

I am running DR on an:
Intel i7 8700 @ 4 GHz
32 GB DDR 4 ram
GTX 1070 Ti 8 GB
DR on SSD, video on dedicated HDD
Windows 10 Pro 64
I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 at 48 KHz and 64 buffer size
Sincerely,
Michael Hansen

I can't duplicate this. Seems to be working fine.

Studio 17.1.1 for Windows.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
