Import AVI Video Files (.avi) into the media pool?

I've got some digital files from a customer to edit. They are AVI Video Files (VLC) (.avi) and they play fine in my VLC player, but I can't copy them into the media pool.
How can I get them into DVR?

DVR 17 Studio
winows 10
NVidia GTX 1060

Only specific formats with AVI are supported. More here - https://documents.blackmagicdesign.com/ ... c_List.pdf

Go to the Media page, Media Storage panel in the upper left. Navigate to the folder with the media.

If the file doesn't show up there, Resolve can't work with it.
