where do i find the settings to adjust the fader levels in the fairlight mixer?
is the fader all the way up, it shoul be +10 db on scale. in the default mode, the track level is 0db, next to the controller should be a 0 on the scale.
The Fairlight Mixer's fader spans a range of negative infinity and +10dB with notches provided to the left of the fader. The fader's default position is 0dB with the current fader level represented above the fader.
The Fairlight Mixer's Track and Buss metering spans a range of negative infinity and 0dBFS with a metering scale provided to the left of the meter.
User definable Buss meter level preferences are available in: Project Preferences > Fairlight > Audio Metering
it would make sense if the scale next to the fader corresponds to the db value to which the fader is set. in the project settings I do not want to be able to make this setting

When the fader is in the standard 0 dB position, the scale should also read - 0 - and not -10 -. And instead of a 0 at the top of the scale, there should be +10 dB and not 0.
For the moment the values / designations on the scale have nothing to do with what is set with the fader of the channels.
But I'm probably just too stupid to understand why it is the way it is.

You're confusing the meter scale with a fader scale. The numbers are for the meter. There isn't a scale as such for the fader - the number above the fader displays its current value.
