Resolve won't apply my mcu or hui controller

PostWed Apr 21, 2021 7:54 pm

Hi there,

I'm having issues with getting resolve to use to my Icon Platform M+. I've had it working in the past but it suddenly stopped working one day and now it won't work at all. I can select the input and output for the device in resolve however each time i restart the software for the changes to take effect it un-assigns the controller. The controller itself works fine with my other softwares, and I've even replaced the pc yet this issue persists. I'm at a loss as to how to fix this.

Any help would be awesome.

I use my Icon QCon on two computers (one at a time, not both at the same time of course) running Windows 10, and on one computer I also have this issue with Resolve forgetting MIDI ports. On the other computer I don't have this problem. It is still a mystery.

Workaround: on the computer with the problem I simply select a different project when running Resolve, set the correct MIDI ports, and then select the project I want to work with. With this method the QCon works as intended.

You shouldn't need to restart for the changes in the midi ports to take effect, just hit save in the preferences pane.
Have you added a usb midi keyboard or any other midi device recently? That throws mine out when I have mine switched on so I can trigger the foley sampler or use a VSTi. I'm using an Avid artist mix in MCU mode and it works fine unless I switch the Arturia keyboard on, then that throws my port order out.

Nope, the Icon Platform M+ is my only device in the setup (other than my speed editor).
