subtitle in multicam and compound cilp

PostSun Apr 25, 2021 9:12 pm

I work on a serie of 5 x 26' documentary mainly with interviews, in Franc, English and Portuguese.
We made a transcript (SimonSays) of all the interview, starting from the first edit of the multicam (four 4K cameras, 8 soundtracks). After transcription and correction I added the subtitles to the edit of each interview.
Unfortunately, when I edit, crossing different interviews, the subtitles are visible in the multicam but in low quality and if I Decompose the compound clip, there is no more subtitle…
For the moment the only solution I found is to open the compound clip in the timeline, copy the subtitle between in and out point (boundaries of the compound clip) and paste it in the right place in the subtitle track of the sequence.
I was hoping for a better workflow. Any idea? Or a future possibiliy in DVR?
Thank you,
Jacques
