Da Vinci Resolve activation issues persists!

There are numerous threads about the errors with activation of Studio, none of which seem to have been properly resolved (pun intended ).

So seems there are two problems:

- Why is the activation suddenly lost?
- What is the issue with the (re)activation?

At least for me, the VPN solution (which seems to work for some but definitely not all) is not an option as the laptop is a corporate one where I cannot add a VPN client to "pretend" to be in the US.

As the first reports on this seem to be from at least February, I would hope for a swift resolution!!

Did you cantact the BMD support? In my case they did something like a database cleanup. Since that it's working without issues I guess.

Yes, so turns out the issue (at least for me) was that the software "on the Internet" that handles activations and checking the validity of activations/licenses has been down but has still been receiving the connection request from Resolve. So unfortunately, Resolve in this case interprets the lack of a positive answer from the server as "no, the software is not activated". And the same problem the prevents reactivations.
