DV 17: renaming tracks

PostMon Apr 26, 2021 3:19 pm

On DV 16 I could easily rename audio tracks by double clicking on the name (Audio 1 Audio 2) and I could enter a new name but I don't seen to have that ability in DV 17. Tracks are labelled A1 and A2 and no amount of clicking allows me to change their names.

Any thoughts ?
Or am I just being dumb ... again !

I clicked on the audio track and was able to rename it.

David,

You may need to go to timeline view options (above the timeline timecode view) and increase the audio track default heights to show the track name (as opposed to just the track index)

That's interesting ...
I notice that you can actually see the words "Audio 1" displayed in your timeline,
I can't in mine all
To see the words "Audio 1" I have to hover the pointer over A1 and it appears but I then can't change it.
I think it must be an obscure setting that I have that doesn't allow the display of the tracks name.
Probably simple but can't find how to change it.

Like Shrinivas said, I think you have your Audio Track height too small, you can change them in the Timeline View Options.

You don't have to increase their size a lot to bring the name box into view.
Resolve Studio 20.0 build 49
Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (572.16 Studio Driver), Win10 Home, Speed Editor, Faderport 1, Calibrated Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ & Samsung monitors for UI, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.
