Fairlight...

PostMon Apr 26, 2021 9:45 pm

When is this going to be fixed?

Stops loading on 'Loading Farlight Page' again..

I've just updated the 17.1.1, and now DR won't work again..

Yes, I know there's a whole thread on this, but, it has no actual answers..

I class this as a bug, it works one day, then not the next, then maybe won't for a week, then it will for a week.. It's just random, it's like a lucky dip, as to whether you can get anything done, or not..

And yes, EVERY part of DR can get through the firewall, both private & public..

The last one that seemed to work more consistantly was version 17.0b7, and it still happened on that, just not so much..

Oh, and no, my system hasn't changed from last time, just the usual Windows updates..

It’s likely just the usual windows updates.

Try completely reinstalling the GPU driver. Please do a clean install - i.e. start the Nvidia installer, and use the Custom > Clean Installation option.

Ok Peter, I did that, and today it loaded, I'll keep a check on it, to see if it happens again, as I said, my experience has really been hit & miss with it, it's like it's been deciding itself if it feels like working or not.. lol

However this seems to worked.. For now..

Thanks

Hey Richard, the windows auto updates are a real bugger for sound drivers, they reek havoc with my Avid D-Command as well. You can set them to be delayed for longer periods in the windows system and security settings, but even then they eventually overpower it and one morning you switch on and see 'updating', and wonder what won't be working once it's finished.
